When a cowboy goes out on a “circle,” he rides out to see a country with a certain job in mind. He might be out to drive cattle from an area. He might be going to doctor for worms, to find an old bull he has been missing or to see if the country is making feed. He always comes back to the place from which he started. He might get out and find a job that takes him far away from the place he started and he might be sorry he went so far when he heads back on a tired horse in the dark, but he always has to come back and finish the circle.
